We’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on the extraordinarily talented Tamara Beliy, the founder and lead coach at Beliy Voice Studio. Since opening its doors in 2014, the studio has been a nurturing ground for aspiring vocalists, thanks to Ms. Beliy’s expert guidance and passionate teaching.

A Journey Through Music

Tamara Beliy’s journey in music is both impressive and inspiring. With a Master’s degree in Opera from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music and a Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance from Biola University Conservatory of Music, her academic credentials speak for themselves. Her training also includes a specialized certification from Shenandoah Conservatory’s Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute and additional studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Her broad expertise spans a variety of vocal styles, including pop, R&B, hip-hop, gospel, jazz, country, and music theater, making her a versatile and sought-after vocal coach.

A Career of Note

Over the years, Tamara has coached more than 400 students, helping many achieve significant milestones in their careers. Her students have gone on to become recording artists, worship leaders, choir directors, and musicians both in the United States and internationally.

Tamara’s own performing career is equally remarkable. This past summer, she mesmerized audiences in Italy, singing the title role of Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Voci nel Montefeltro. Her performance repertoire also boasts leading roles in acclaimed operas such as Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Weill’s Street Scene, Verdi’s Falstaff, Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, and Puccini’s Suor Angelica. In 2016, she showcased her exceptional talent by winning the Concerto Competition at Biola University with a stunning rendition of "Vissi d'arte" from Puccini's Tosca.

Acclaimed Performances

Tamara Beliy's performances have not only captivated audiences but have also garnered critical acclaim. Voix des Arts, a noted opera review publication, has repeatedly praised her. They highlighted her portrayal of Meg in Verdi's Falstaff at UNCG Opera Theatre as "not to be overlooked," praising her "vocal confidence and vivid characterization." Further acclaim came with her role as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, where her "trills and top Bs were sung with the supremacy of a woman who knows that she has the upper hand."

What sets Tamara apart is not just her technical skill and extensive repertoire but her joy and aspiration in fostering the musical talents of others. For her, the studio is not just a place to teach; it's a place to inspire and be inspired.
